I am a Graphic Designer, specializing in designing covers and formatting books, and also the author of 2 interactive books: Girlfriends Forever! and Partners Forever?
Girlfriends Forever will strengthen the bond between 2 women -- mother/daughter, grandmother/granddaughter, aunt/niece, sisters, and girlfriends -- in a fun way. It's a set of 2 books -- part journal, part scrapbook and part diary with coil bindings to allow the books to lie flat for easy writing! You fill out one and she fills out the other. Then, at a pre-arranged date, you exchange books and read each other's answers. You may learn a lot about someone you thought you knew so well! Partners Forever? is a more serious book. Both partners fill out a book and then at a pre-arranged date, exchange and read them over carefully. As they do so, they note important points in the back section of the book. Next, they meet to discuss what they have learned about the other and their present/future relationship. I am also the Vice-President, Production and Design at Aurora Publishing. We lead the author step-by-step through the Publishing process. This includes illustrations/ graphics/ photos; cover design; the ISBN number; creation of the bar code; editing the manuscript; formatting the manuscript into book form; uploading book and cover to the Printer(s) in the form required to print the copies; placing the book on the Company's website; creation of the eBook; placing the eBook on an affiliate's eBook website.
We produce a book which is professional inside and out -- a first-rate cover design and layout of the book, as well as its content being edited to lend credibility to the topic. In other words, a product that would be welcome in any bookstore. We do that while making the process easy and supportive, whether working with a first-time or a seasoned author. The author retains full rights to the book.
